Spring Clip Art - Roller Skates

 Anyone remember skate keys?

When I was a kid, I raced up and down the sidewalk wearing clunky metal roller skates that fastened to my shoes with a clamp. The skate clamps needed to be tightened with a special key. We strung the skate key onto a shoelace and wore it on our wrists or as a necklace, because without the key to tighten the clamps, your skates wouldn't stay on. Skate keys are nostalgic collectibles these days ... got one"

When I got older I skated with indoor shoe skates. I even learned to skate backwards and to use the toe stops without falling down.

Decades later I graduated to inline skates and I still have a rockin' pair of Rollerblades to cruise around on the playground parking lot or sidewalks, along with the requisite safety helmet, elbow pads, gloves and knee guards.

This grandma is not ready to give up being a skater just yet - have fun with this retro red rollerskates clip art!

My daughter made a suggestion to me last week to design a few Jack O'Lantern faces for the grandkids, and I had so much fun I got totally immersed in the project for the better part of a day.

The result of my Halloweenie art obsession:  3 different face designs you can print and use for all sorts of Halloween fun: make pumpkin carving stencils, create  iron on transfers, or  print the faces on magnetic sheets and trim around the edges to create a pumpkin face game for the fridge door.

Calligraphic Valentine Heart Pattern

I love to make handmade Valentine gifts and have made romantic pillows and gift bags for family and friends many times. Here's a beautiful hearts line drawing that would make a romantic pillow top or journal cover. I created the original art for this design for my brother's wedding invitations and have designed clip art borders and coloring pages from the same basic artwork.

This hearts craft pattern is a calligraphic swashed design originally intended for adult coloring but it's ideal for embroidery, fabric painting or printed crafts. The design is made from hearts and swashes and curlicues - it's a big pattern that's ready to print.
