I love Santa Claus. There, I said it. I am a grandmother who still believes ... and  I just finished a new Christmas card design with matching gift tags using a modified Santa and reindeer silhouette for my web site freebies section. The flying sleigh is a silhouette against a dark blue night sky with a full moon.

The printable greeting cards come 1 to a page; the gift tags are large, 6 to a sheet and could be used as small flat greeting cards or you can paste them to a sheet of card stock that's folded to make a card.

Merry Christmas Paper Crafts and Printables for 2014

I've finished updating my 2014 Christmas printables collection on the web site this week, just in time for you to print and make holiday arts and crafts galore. Included in this year's set is a printable place mat, greeting card, gift tags, and border papers for family newsletters at Christmas or for the New Year, plus die cut templates for these cute paper garland gingerbread men.

My little paper craft  gingerbread garland was a big hit last year, but I didn't have time to offer it before the holidays so here it is, ready for you to print and cut out, or to use as a color in craft template.

If you have a Silhouette craft cutter, you'll find a freebie .STUDIO file for this design on my web site. The little icing pieces are tricky to get off the cutting mat, but the finished design is worth the effort. One version I made was actually done in two layers.

Printables and Die Cuts for Hand or Silhouette Cutouts

The back/bottom later was all white, with no cutouts (just the outline of the edges) and the top/front layer was cut from brown kraft paper. When I sandwiched the two garlands together the white icing details showed through the kraft paper cutouts

It's Time to Celebrate Canada Day!

We're gearing up the Independence Day here in the US, but there's just as big a celebration that's coming along with our neighbors to the North - Canada Day.

Christmas Sweets Mandala Adult Coloring Page

My latest craving for holiday sweets is, yes, peppermint candy canes.

I just finished this new holiday wreath /  mandala coloring page design for my main web site's new and popular adult coloring pages section.

I created this design using a favorite candy cane heart line art image from a few years ago. The basic design has two candy canes and a bow. The finished mandala design has 24 candy canes with lots of ribbons and of course, twinkling stars.

If I have the time, this candy cane heart wreath line art design may become the centerpiece for my holiday tables, embroidered in white on white.  But if you'd rather just color it in, have a sweet time!

Ireland was on my mind this week so I pulled out my redrawn knots line art and made a new Celtic frame border.

Make a flyer, a poster, a picture frame or turn it on its side and design a name tag for your party or blarney-filled beer bash to celebrate Halfway to St. Patrick's Day (September 17).

Better still, use this frame as a coloring page and add your own design in the center space.

It's getting to be that time of year when I start making Halloween crafts. I designed a new sheet of Halloween cupcake toppers that can be cut out with a craft punch, a printing cutter like the Cameo, a sharp craft knife or scissors.

You can use this printable PDF sheet to make Halloween stickers, too!

Printable Food Flags!

Patriotic mini flags - food flags

It's summer time and our family is gearing up for lots of food-centric entertaining. Over the 4th of July we'll be gathering to gobble up all sorts of pot luck goodies so I'll be labeling all the dishes of delightful food with red, white and blue flags like these.

All you need to do is print, cut, label and attach a flag to a plastic straw or wooden kabob stick, then stick it into the serving dishes you want to label.

If you're having a get together for July 4th and want to add a bit of patriotic festivity to those plates of snacks, salads, sandwiches and sweets, try adding a coordinated set of food flags. This is the first of several color-coordinated food flag printable sheets I'm adding this week to the web site.

In case you want simple white, or want to print the outlines on the back side of craft paper or card stock,  I also designed a set of templates for DIY food flag designers.

My daughter made a suggestion to me last week to design a few Jack O'Lantern faces for the grandkids, and I had so much fun I got totally immersed in the project for the better part of a day.

The result of my Halloweenie art obsession:  3 different face designs you can print and use for all sorts of Halloween fun: make pumpkin carving stencils, create  iron on transfers, or  print the faces on magnetic sheets and trim around the edges to create a pumpkin face game for the fridge door.
