Ground Hog Day - February 2

Ground Hog Day Woodchuck with February 2 Calendar Page
In honor of my grandson's first birthday on Ground Hog Day, here's a happy blue-eyed woodchuck graphic. Happy 1st Birthday Sawyer!

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? Probably not as much as I can when he's chewing on my vegetable garden.

Back to School with Love and Kisses

When my kids were small, I tucked small notes into their lunch bags and book packs - brief messages on small scraps of paper. Sometimes I would draw or write on the lunch bag itself to remind them I was thinking of them while they were at school and I was at work.

Guess What? I Love You! XXOO

Look for surprise when you get home!

Have a Great Day!

You're a Star!

Good Luck on your Math Quiz!

Remembering this bit of being a working Mom in the 20th century recently inspired my newest paper craft design: a sheet of animal pal lunch box notes, 4 to a page. They're good for lunch box notes, and also for book plates, cubbie labels, name tags, gift cards or memos with a whimsical flair.

Pirates - Arrrrrr! Make a Pirate Hat

Little Kids Pirate Craft Printable

I was looking around for easy Pirate crafts just for little kids and decided to make a simple Pirate Hat that even a preschooler can color and cut out. Kids under 6 can't fold the traditional newspaper hats without a lot of assistance.

Here's the simple design I came up with:

Let 'em color the hat black or what ever color they choose. Cut out around the edge, following the outlines, then add simple string ties or soft elastic to each end and fasten at the back of the head. Or, simpler still, just use hair pins to hold it in place.

Here's a link to the full size printable pirate hat craft sheet. Have a blast, matey.
